United Church Women & Men's Club

We have a very active UCW with about 50 members. These ladies cater to many different functions. And out Men's Coffee Club meets weekly to discuss the problems of the world.

Each year we have at least four lunches after church, two rummage sales, a pancake supper, and a Christmas Bazaar. Roll call at the general meetings is an item to be donated to various groups such as Salvation Army, Interim Place, Massey House, and Fred Victor Mission.

UCW has many other projects. In 2002, a stained-glass window was dedicated to the UCW, by the congregation, to show its appreciation and to mark its 40th anniversary.

Men's Coffee Club
Each Wednesday morning, 20 or so of our experienced youngsters/second childhood oldsters meet in Balsdon Hall. These gentlemen meet for the purpose of solving all the political problems of the world, as well as a critical analysis of professional baseball and hockey teams. Entry price is one loonie and all men are invited and encouraged to attend.
